I would like to welcome you to my brand new blog, Yellow Tandem Bicycle. All of you coming to me from my old blog, Whimsical Ramblings, welcome back! Why the new name, you ask? Tandem bicycles have become a symbol for me ever since I got married over two months ago, because there was a yellow tandem bicycle on our wedding invitations. Additionally, my loving husband recently bought me a mint green cruiser bicycle with a basket on the front that I love to ride around on, and he bought himself a vintage red road bike. So bicycles have become a bit of a theme for us. To me, a tandem bike represents riding through life together, pedaling towards the same goal and direction.

I hope to keep this blog current with lots of updates about Lars & I's lives as newlyweds, as well as fun little tidbits, inspiration and ideas. Most of my posts will probably be short and sweet, which is a challenge for me as I tend to write huge epic novels.
I am excited to begin this new journey with you! In the meantime, here's what Lars & I have been doing lately:
*Sleeping in
*Working on homework for our online classes
*Making yummy gourmet meals at home in an effort to save money
*Going for lots of trips to Scottsdale and to Downtown Phoenix (more on that later)
*Debating whether we want a puppy or a kitty (or both)
*Watching lots of rented movies from the libary (Today we watched Shutter Island)
*Visiting local parks, such as Sahuaro Ranch Park
*Generally enjoying the first few weeks of summer!
